12-6-2003 Dawn Surprise Party - mattbeckwith.com

It was dubbed as the MOASP (Mother of all Surprise Parties)... probably because it took sooooo long to plan.  With a lot of help from Flower, Nicole, Megen, Chrissy and the bros... we were able to pull off a surprise 29th birthday party for Dawn.   

Early morning... 12.06.03... Dawn leaves with Flower to go shopping in Modesto and then off to Megen's house for a candle party.

Early morning + 30 minutes... 12.06.03... Matt takes Dawn's van to have new stereo installed (hoping she thinks that's all she's getting.

Late morning... Chrissy and Nicole arrive to help set up house... furniture must be moved... buffet tables brought in... not to mention the house needs to be cleaned (I didn't want to alarm Dawn by asking her to help me clean the house before she left).

Early afternoon... our kitchen is starting to look like a war zone mess hall... pots and pans everywhere.

Early evening... guests start arriving... parking a few blocks away and walking (sometimes in the rain).  Mike and I repeat, 47 times, why no one should be parking in our court.

Karaoke DJ shows up (from Marquis Entertainment) and sets up shop in our family room.

Guests start to get antsy... give them more food and drink...

Finally... the eagle is about to land... about an hour late...

Dawn walks in... and SURPRISE!!!!!! 

Thanks again to everyone that helped plan and coordinate this event.  The food was great, the entertainment was great... and the company was great.
